SUSTAIN-6G at Enlit Europe 2025 – Driving Resilient and Smart Grids

 In Events

SUSTAIN-6G had a strong presence at Enlit Europe 2025, held from 10–12 November, a leading event on Europe’s energy transition. The project was represented by Imane Oussakel, Ph.D., Telecom Research Engineer at EDF, who shared the latest insights and progress in the Digital Technologies in European Projects session.

Imane presented “Insights from SUSTAIN-6G for utilities”, highlighting the project’s vision, technical achievements, and key use cases. A particular focus was on the “Resilient Grid Section Operation” led by Siemens, demonstrating strategies to maintain grid reliability even under communication challenges.

In addition, SUSTAIN-6G was showcased at the EDF R&D stand, providing an interactive platform to engage with visitors, explain project objectives, and emphasise the collaborative European effort driving innovation in smart and resilient energy systems.

The event offered valuable opportunities to discuss the intersection of 6G technologies and energy networks, and to share knowledge with industry peers, European research partners, and utilities professionals.

Sincere thanks to all EDF colleagues who contributed to the project’s visibility in Bilbao, from presentations to booth engagements, demonstrating the commitment and expertise behind SUSTAIN-6G.
