SUSTAIN-6G Newsletter #2: Insights of almost a year in the SNS JU Lighthouse Project
The second edition of the SUSTAIN-6G newsletter provides a comprehensive overview of the project’s progress as it approaches its first year of activity!
As the Sustainability Lighthouse initiative within the European SNS JU Joint Undertaking, the project continues to develop a holistic framework that embeds environmental, societal, and economic sustainability into next-generation communication systems and their associated vertical sectors.

Among the most notable innovations is a telemedicine framework developed by Politecnico di Torino and MDCreate, which applies Augmented Reality and AI to support remote rehabilitation for individuals experiencing Phantom Limb Pain. The newsletter also reflects the project’s sustained presence across leading European events, including the EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025 and coming 2026, CW TEC 2025, and the upcoming workshop at PHOTOPTICS 2026.
